That's around 8% of the pop., not bad, but still a pleb compared to us aristocratic AB- under 1% of the total pop *sneer*.

As for the inheritance, that's easy, genes have two alleles. In the case of the rhesus group, it is + and -. Means both of your parents have +- alleles, they express the + (which is dominant) while you inherited both - from each parent, quite simple really.
