Perun was a god of thunder...later conveniently replaced with st. Elijah. May it thunder and rain bombs on our enemies from Perun's punishing fists!! JUGO-SLAVIJA

In Roman festivals, the Brumalia was a feast of Bacchus, celebrated during the space of thirty days, commencing on 24 November. It was instituted by Romulus, who entertained the Senate during this time. During this feast, prophetic indications were taken of the prospects for the remaining part of the winter.
It is also a festival annually held by Connecticut College.
Hmmm. I wonder how they celebrate it there. :confused2:
I've always wondered why in ~1,604 years, no rich eccentrics ever got the idea to reinstitute these festivals? There are so many of them.

О, Боги наши древние!
Просим о победе мы,
Супротив врага.
О, Бог ты наш, Перунушка,
В битве не покинь Ты нас!
Содрогнись земля!
