I dont think think Ftdna gives you the option of 12 markers
FTDNA gives an option of ordering 12-marker test but you have to order it through some certain projects, like this one made for such special purpose:

It's recommended to order any test like that, anyway, because such Y-37 is 20$ cheaper. It's not even a price of one single-SNP test but it's still something.

Actually, what FTDNA now tests is a 14 markers(or more appropriately - 12+2 markers), they decided to include a backbone test.
That's because too many 12 marker predictions were useless... especially concerning G2a vs I-M253 and I2-M223 vs I2-M438. I personally know a guy who was predicted I2-M223 with previous system of 12 markers without backbone and after doing a Big Y he got a subbranch of I2-Din.
