Actually London has 2 mayors; one for Central and Greater London (Boris)
and a separate mayor for the City of London in London,
who gets to ride in a golden carriage, etc.

Boris Johnson, (the Conservative Mayor of London) has some Russian ancestry
and he starts speaking in Russian to the London audience and he states he is
the proud descendant of a great-great Russian grandfather from Moscow
in this short video clip for the annual Russian Maslenitsa Cultural Festival in London
and also he spoke in Russian for London's annual Russian Dance Ball.
