The Afrolat Organization of Latvia is pushing for greater integration, understanding, and exposure of African culture in Latvia. Their goal is to increase African and Latvian interaction.


The Afro-Latvian association is not about color. It is about people. It is an association of a group of very educated, law-abiding and unprejudiced men and women who are willing to contribute positively to the society they live in. The Afro-Latvian association is not about segregation, it is about co-operation. It is a group of people who are zealous to work hand in hand with all sections of the society in other to achieve its aims as well as fight its ills. It is not about antagonism, it is rather about enlightenment.

The first person of African descent probably came to Latvia many centuries ago. He was most likely a slave worker toiling for his German lords. That was the order of the day at that time. There does not seem to be any record in history of their continued presence.

The first Africans came to the modern day Latvia in 1973 to study at the then Riga institute of Civil Aviation-a prestigious institution that trained students in the fields of avionics and computer technology. Over the years a lot more arrived to pursue their studies at the Aviation University, Medical School and Technical University. Most of the students arrived on very competitive scholarships awarded by their various governments. This ensured and implied that only the very hardworking and clever ones made it to these educational institutions. Then Africa was still a black hole for most of the inhabitants of Latvia for very little was known about this continent, about its people, about its culture and about its values. These students amazed their lecturers and fellow students with their solid pre university preparation, their ability to follow a course of studies in a foreign language after a year's acquisition, and definitely by their ethics, dedication, mental stamina, temperament, and none the least the strength to withstand the harsh and unbearable, for them, winter.

This clearly shows that most Africans have no intention to keep their African identity, but much rather to bastardize the Latvian gene pool.
The sad thing is that Latvians only make up only 57% of entire population of Latvia, so they may soon be a minority in their own country. The Latvian birthrate is also among the lowest in the entire world. So it's only a matter of time........................ before the Latvians will be reduced to a minority in their own country and become an extinct people and culture, like the Prussians. . . . . . . . .

doesn't integration in the true meaning of the word mean them integrating into your society and culture and adopting your customs, everybody dressing up as a Zulu looks more like you are intergrating into there culture.

Russia is in no better shape. Russia has tens of thousands of their own negroes. During Soviet times, many Africans and Asians were invited to come over and study at their Universities as some sort of cultural exchange in order to promote Communism in Third World countries. Many overstayed their Visas and eventually became permanent residents. A sizable portion of those students even intermarried with the Russian locals.

During Soviet times, many Africans and Asians were invited to come over and study at their Universities as some sort of cultural exchange in order to promote Communism in Third World countries. Many overstayed their Visas and eventually became permanent residents. A sizable portion of those students even intermarried with the Russian locals.

The Soviets founded Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow during the 1960s, which imported communist sympathizers from Africa, Asia, and South America and indoctrinated them in Marixst ideals. Most returned to their homelands to take up their applicable activities, but some also stayed behind. The school is still operating in a less-politicized capacity, but is now an even greater force in the introduction of non-Europeans to Russia. Its students are also increasingly being targeted by skinheads, so resistance exists in some form. This is exactly why I'm puzzled when "communists" show up on these boards and preach nostalgia for their old governments (especially GDR revisionists) and their so-called opposition to multiculturalism, when in reality, the opposite was true (there was a thriving Vietnamese community in East Germany, for example).

This Afrolat is a trojan horse to introduce multiracialism into Latvian society, made all the more dangerous by low indigenous birth rates and an already sizeable foreign populace. It seems to only way to celebrate African culture is through miscegenation, and the establishment of a new generation of mulattoes. :rolleyes:

Okay let me say something: Afrolat organisation is not well known in Latvia. I havr asked family relatives and they did not know about it. :)

The website received its last actualisation at year 2004, 5 years ago!!!!

You can be sure that this are only some dozend crazy idiots .... i think not nearly hundred ... who like negers. It is no big society and no big movement okay???? Latvians are very proud of themselves!! We are not multicultural orientated and we have enough problems with Russians. And the founder of Afrolat seems to be one of the less negers in Latvia.
