Weird, I thought you'd have more EE than that. Anyway, regarding these results and your short statured gracile med phenotype then these results makes sense

I am exactly a quarter Polish, so it makes sense.

How come NO SSA at all?

Claim Israeli citizenship, I can already picture you in the bureaus of Mossad posting tanned Sicilians and telling me how bad, ugly and alpha I am.

Interesting, it's certainly possible. But maybe it doesn't have to be crypto, 6% is not too much. It could for example have been your grandfathers grandfather, do you have all information about ancestors that far back?

I suspect it is due to Levantine affinity in Sicily.

I just did not inherit it. Some calculators I do not score it, but my mother always does. I want my grandmother to test but she wouldn't, she doesn't want to know what she is

probably, will you do ancestrydna?

I thought about that too, but I had the impression that it is very easy to pin point ashkenazi jewish admixture, read something about it on 23andme. But still, what you say makes sense.

Don't you score SSA on 23andMe?

I went ahead and ordered the autosomal transfer on ftDNA... how long did it take for you?

The FTdna Ashkenazi category is not as reliable as the one in 23andme (which is very telling and is based on segments in chromosomes). Many Meds/MENAs score Ashkenazi on Ftdna due to affinities.

No, you're not. FTDNA is terrible.

I been thinking about taking ftdna to find out my L2* Subclade and only for that. Waste of money tbh

their y-dna testings are another thing compared to their "myorigins". They're the only company that does marker tests and Big Y in your part of the world.

Confrata on the results!

Well it is part of my ancestry but not in my results because I guess I didn't inherit it. This is like how some siblings come out different from one another.

I suspected this, yes. It is clearly linked to the 5% Levantine.

My grandma doesn't want to get tested either, whats with grandmas and their adversion to DNA?

I just read you said you did scored SSA in 23andme, Is that right? If so, how come you test some SSA in one study and not the other?

I think it is small enough to get sucked into other clusters that already have SSA in them.

I might jump in here if I can be any help. I also score 6% Ashkenazi on MyOrigins however I have a maternal third great grandfather who was Polish Jewish. I score 2% Ashkenazi on 23andMe which is probably more accurate. Here are my FTDNA results.
