I have been Austria and Czech Republic. In my opinion the Austrians are lighter than Czechs, but this is a running impression.

Having been myself in Vienna and Prague, I would say both are the same, maybe a bit lighter Czechs.

The majority of real Czechs in villages and little towns (who had no german ancestors like the urban czech population) are not light pigmented.

I did pick Austrians in the above poll, however maybe on average about the same. Austrians a bit lighter.

Just being north of Austria doesn't make much difference. The Czech Republic and Austria are relatively small geographic areas and are completely part of the central part of Europe. The Austrians have a lot more Germanic influence.

Blue eyes are common in Austria:

Blue
Blue eyes are quite common amongst people, especially those born in Germany, Netherlands, Iceland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Estonia. The reason behind this eye color is low amounts of melanin within the iris stroma. In Central Asia and Middle East, blue eyes are pretty rare. Since the production of melanin generally increases during the first few years of life, the blue eyes of some babies might darken as they get older.

Data of A.Vaisbakh: Eye Color - Austrians - 0,74, Czechs - 0,72. The lower the score - the lighter pigmentation.

On average they are about the same, but I still think Austrians a bit lighter. I have been to Austria twice, although I haven't been to the Czech republic yet. I did see many types like the female soldier below:

Do no post sport teams, because high ratio of them were not even born in Austria.

That is why I posted winter Olympic temas, immigrants are not in ski teams. Typical Austrian has brown hair and blue eyes.

Come on. These people are not ethnic Czechs.

They are ethnic czechs without german mixture: from smaller towns and villages. Most "Czechs" of larger towns and Prague are German mixed people.

About the same but it seems more frequent that Austrians possess lighter pigment, primarily their hair.
