No. Surnames ending with "sen" are extremely common in Norway. It is to Norwegian surnames what "vic" is to Balkan ones.

Yes, I know. But Samuel is not native of Norway. I can not imagine a Spanish surname Samuelez.
Looking his face and his surname, I have my doubts hes ethnic Norwe.

Actually Samuel is an international name, just like Thomas, Maria etc. is. I just checked the statistics and 1 847 people in Norway have Samuel as a first name and 2 777 have Samuelsen as a surname ;)

It is NOT a Jewish name :)

Many patronymic names contain names of Biblical origin. Paulson, Ellison, Davidson, Peterson, etc. And they're not Jewish, but Christian.

I know, but some do are Jewish: Davidson is super-Jewish surname. Paulson too. That is the point, if you add that suspicious surname to his face...

Yes, I saw, but, what do you mean with these data? ie perhaps you mean that just by the fact there are 2777 Samuelsens is already a native surname or how?

It was to illustrate that Samuelsen is not at a rare surname in Norway and not Jewish.

I am sure there are thousands of Steins and Goldbergs in UK and they are not British native.

Then you are right. I just thought that the surname and the look of the guy were a strange combination.
