To me he looks like the Lebanese-Brazilian user Spanish Catalan but with Norman pigmentation.

Yes. But he would not be typical. He looks more North European than a typical Sicilian oddly enough.

There are plenty of Sicilians more nordic looking than him so yes easily but not saying he would be typical for Sicily.

Look at the statues. He has the curly hair, the hook nose, and the same skull shape.

They certainly dont. I find them easier to pass as brits than sicilians.

No.
They easily could. The population outside of Italy most similar looking to southernmost Italians is Ashkenazi Jews. Iberians have too much Western European influence, Greeks too much Balkan and minor Balto-Slavic which makes some of them really stand out in Sicily.

I lived among jews most of my life. They dont look like southern italians at all. They look like a mix of eastern euros, west asians, brits and what have you but not italians.

They are half Italic, half Levantine regardless of how they look to you. And for the record they do look like southern Italians. I could show you many southern Italians with looks you do not think of as being from there, who look like the people posted above.

Probably some but honestly there are more southern Italians that look like the Greeks rather than like the Jews IMO.

I dont care how they plot, they look different. Case in point, these two look like brits easily, but not sicilians.

In the classical Greek sense like Minoan or Mycenaean, yes. But if you look at how modern Greeks look, they are often very robust, with Balkan looks or some appearances even being nearly Slavic. These looks stand out in Sicily, as there is almost 0 East or Northeast Euro influence there.

Yes, mostly in the med side but these types are present in the whole Greece. There are some Slavic-looking Greeks, it's true (as it's undeniable that there are German-looking Italians), as it's true that a pure Balkan look is more common in Greece (nothing strange, Greece is in the Balkans). But these types, especially the Slavic-looking Greeks, are a minority if you consider only the full ethnic Greeks.

Balkan types are probably the majority of continental Greece. Slavic types are a minority but my point is they REALLY stand out in Sicily, far more than Mark Zuckerberg does.

When are you actually going to visit any of these countries? Firsthand experience would make all your claims at least a little more credible

Honestly that woman could pass in other southern European countries as well. The jewish phenotypes is an American thing, but here in Europe it doesn't really exist a Jewish look.

They are based on other people's experiences and those of people I know. But the point is, someone like Tracy Spiridakos even cannot pass in Sicily.

He actually looks Slavic, so he is very atypical. He could pass in Poland just fine. But those types are more rare in Sicily than Tracy Spiridakos is in Greece even though both are uncommon.

Pure Balkan in continental Greece I guess no. On average a stronger Balkan influence I agree.
The southern Italian region with more Slavic types, based on a trip of some years ago, was Apulia.

Not really there is a jewish look, she wasnt a good example. They don't have Slavic.
But my point was most Greeks look too Balkan to fit in at least Sicily or Calabria, and those who do pass better tend to be islanders.

According to this, there were migrations from Croatia to the Italian Adriatic coast (from Marche to Apulia) during the Turk conquest. Three settlements in Molise are the only where a Slavic language is survived till today. Probably a minor input, I dunno.
"Le minoranze croate che nel XV secolo si stanziarono in Molise per sfuggire all'invasione dei turchi che risalivano la penisola balcanica, nei paesi di Acquaviva Collecroce, San Felice del Molise (o San Felice Slavo) e Montemitro in provincia di Campobasso, sono il residuo di colonie in origine molto più estese nell’entroterra adriatico, dalle Marche alla Puglia."

It may be. But Apulians look Balkan but not really "Slavic". My impression of them is they just look more Greek or even Albanian than most southern Italians do, and they are more robust. Adding Slavic genes to Apulia will just make them look more continental Greek, since before that they would just look like Sicilians.
