Mediterranean is not a subspecies but a complexion in my opinion, or better eve, a range of complexions. This guy lays in the fringes between the lighter mediterranean and the "darker" northern complexions.


His cline/phenotype though is West European majorly , but with an interestingly "archaic" bone structure. HE would fit well as I said among some of my Basque friends

Not only Basques, he fits in any part of Spain since Finisterre to Tarifa.
Too light to be considered simply Mediterranean.

the lighter fringes of Mediterranean complexion ft perfectly with his. I have the same complexion and the same raven-black hair. I pointed out the "Basque" thing because I have met a few Basques that really could be his long lost relatives. But in the last picture it is given away that he can naturally tan, ad probably reach a deeper and healthier tan without problem. This is also a giveaway for the mediterranean element. This med mutation allows for aquisition and sheding of melanine on a sun-exposure basis which is vastly superior to what both northern and tropical complexions can achieve.

He fits particularly well along the coastal region which encompasses Aquitaine, through N. Spain and Northern and Central Portugal.

More in N. Italy. However, he does have a Baskid vibe which you find mostly in France, Spain and Portugal.
