When the Chernobyl incident happened way back. People and cities in the surrounding area immediately cleared out to avoid exposure to radiation. The incident was a curse and a blessing. One it was a terrible curse that it happened, the grievous loss of life that followed immediately after the meltdown. However we are blessed to see the wonders of modern cities being overrun by nature. To see grass grow between poured cement, to see tress grow wildly and unfettered next to massive concrete apartments are all magnificent sights. They give me a chilling feeling but at the same time, they made me felt wow, "now that's not what you see everyday".

It is not a case of nature overcoming man at all.

Chernobyl is still very radioactive and continues to have negative effects on various aspects of nature.
