I guess so, because of the concrete and particular weather/climate of his ancestors. Or perhaps due to the heavy rain, to avoid water to enter in his nose while breathing...

slanted eyes and broad nose arebcommon with mongolians because of common genes. Full lips arent even rare among eastern and northern europeans. The germanic and central european types of northernneurope live in harmony with the north-eastern types, which have greater admixture of siberia. Best example are the Sami, but in lesser grade you see it all over the east (north , central and south)
