Their 'genetic material' should be laid to rest, not sold as a commodity. Quite frankly, I find it quite disgusting. Why do we always have to fuck around with native americans in various ways? I remember reading a very old newspaper from nearly (can't remember) 100 years ago about some tragedies occurring on a mountain. It mentioned that the Native Americans told the companies looking to mine, log, and hunt on and around the mountain that it was holy or sacred or at least, something along those lines, and that even the Native Americans did not hunt animals on that mountain. Yet they still went and did it. It makes no sense why you would, as a new settler, disregard the wise words of people who had lived on that continent for hundreds of years.

You know, I've been in many labs during my university time and am a scientific minded person, but you can't just sell things 'intended' for research purposes and have no idea who actually is buying them and what they'll do with it. Also, the link doesn't mention if they even have any permission from possible surviving groups or anyone affiliated with them, although I doubt they do. I dunno, just seems strange.

Yes maybe we can start a crowdfunding initiative to receive this DNA and send it in to get processed, so we can use this for research purposes as intended and make great discoveries and contribute to DNA calculators
