He looks a lot like a black American with little Euro admixture.

i think he s one of the blackest skin in africa based on my morphs..

it's strange as Senegal is at much higher latitude than nigeria or ghana.. ??

I think people underestimate sexual selection when it comes to such things. Yes, latitude is important, but ultimately, it also comes down to whether or not a particular look is fancied by that group of people.

so it could be senegalese women favour darker skin?

Senegalese (Wolofs at least) are indeed usually very dark skinned. What separates them from Nigeria for instance is that Senegal doesn't have thick tropical or equatorial [rain] forests. Senegal is mostly sahel, savannah, swamps and small forests.

Maybe the other way around, depending on how mating was done. Some tribes leave it up to the women, others up to the male, and then there are those who practice betrothal. In that case, the parents will select what they think are the best traits based on the parents of their future in-law.

Sure, but traits that are detrimental to survival are outbred quickly. It might not be a shock that Igbo people can be very light-skinned sometimes, the environment allowing sexual selection to happen in this direction.

nigerians are one of the lightest ethnicities in subsaharian africa..
.. i've seen it with my eyes nigerians of more brown than black/ebony skins.. i've never seen a nigerian with ebony skin.. they are brown skinned

As to why Nigeria isn't that pitch black, let me post these again

Considering overall irradiation, some places in Coastal Nigeria are on the level of Northern Italy, and if we look at direct insolation only, on par with places in Scotland! So they gotta get dat Vitamin D somehow

i'm surprised at china radiations.. china has even a green spot on pair with northern europe.. yet chineses.. none of them is depigmented.. at least han chineses.. but there maybe more ethnicities like those who live in the green round who may be depigmented (dark brown hair, or brown hair.. as chineses and east asians all have pure black hair.. even middle eastern and North africans have some dark brown haired people)

and china much part is at lower than europe latitude on par with saudi arabia..

what's the reason? summer monsoons that cut sun rays?

When you see genetic plots, the Senegalese shift toward North Africa somewhat, even more than Malians do. I find this interesting since any African ancestry I have is likely from Senegal.

I think the reason for some places in China being so dark is their heavy air pollution/smog, you probably have seen those Beijing photos, it's like some places in Europe in the 1950s

..but are we shure.. smog blocks sunrays?.. and that art of china is however the most rural.. chinese industrial areas are on the coast.. china is in fact mostly habitated in the eastern part near the coast..

...so i think it's not smog.. but.. monsoons?

Yeah but I think it's possible the wind carries all that dust there, because in that latitude you have mostly winds from the East, I guess the mountains (Tibet and Himalaya) then cause all that smog to pile up there, blocking it from going further west, but that's just my theory
Of course it could also be rain/clouds piling up there in a similar fashion
