In the British Isles, France, Spain and Portugal Atlantids are fairly common. It's a general Western phenotype.

this is getting old. Spanish mediterranean type. long face, straight nosr, string eye ridge, deep set eyes. His prominent chin gives him a robust/confident appearance. I bet he's an ace with the ladies.

No his type isn't common here in the UK .

And since when British have round face?? their horse face is famous around the world.
Yon González looks more British than that British guy, live with it.

there are extreme cases of horse faces in spain but most spaniards have a good ratio of lenght/width and can't be described as horse faced.

that teenahe footballer is more common in the uk than you think, though I agree with you he isn't the most typical.

Yon Gonzalez is however very typical for Spain. his complexion and general features are med. and his eyes/nose/mouth unmistakably Spanish.

Yes Yon González is imo the quintaesencia of the Spanish man, but he pass in UK very easily.
If Colin Farrell, Mr. Bean, that footballer or Kate Middleton pass, imagine Yon González.

:picard1:

Hair length has nothing to do with it, and he has facial hair in both photos. The lighting is more neutral in the one I posted than in the other one, where half of his face is in the shadow. Sure they share some similarities as expected from siblings, but his face is not "the same as his brother's."

Swarthy Britons sometimes have a pseudo-Spanish look due to some ancient western overlap, but they still have their own recognisable look and generally lack the mediterraneam flair.

Spaniards are a mediterranean race which shares core features with the rest of the mediterranean but has its own distinct and almost exclusive look (bar many portuguese and "some" south French) due to that ancient western input.

Yin Gonzalez would pass much better as a Swarthy Frenchman than as a Swarthy Briton.

However, because the western element is string with him, he would perhaps stick out more prominently in areas of the eastern and southrrn mediterranean that he would perhaps in Wales.

That's not to say he looks tipically welsh at all though.Just that he is a quintessentially (good looking) example of an Iberian med

I love how some people refer to the posted brothers as "swarthy." People, swarthy concerns dark skin tones, not dark hair or eye color. Both have light - to - medium skin pigmentation.

it really depends who you ask. For poles, anyone with dark hair is described as "black" regardless of the shade. To Benjamin Franklin, Swedes were generally swarthy too...

Well, there are general standards. However, I do agree that from culture to culture, interpretations can differ. Maybe Franklin thought Swedes were "swarthy" because they have a propensity to tan well. Who knows ...
