I must note that the reason I made this thread mainly is to present both the limitation a the lack of pictures can have and the way the picture is taken (angle, lightening etc.) that forms a certain bias for someone who tries to guess the right populations for the 6 individuals I chose (or any other cherrypicked set of people from southern Europe and the Near East) - and that it clearly shows that people are not able to guess them right based on whatever knowledge they might possess about these 2 populations and their variation in phenotypes. There is too much of an individual overlap between the two and with a lack of pictures it's impossible to even guess 50 % of them right; there is no such thing as a ''classification and/or guessing expert''

These photos were cherrypicked, all of them looked North African. They weren't at all representative of what North Africans or Italians actually looked like.

This is the problem with 90 % of the threads opened in the taxonomy section that involves the comparison of specific populations and this is just an example of both the variety of phenotypes present in both populations but also a way to present a truthful way to manipulate the test so that everyone thinks the Italians are Maghrebis and vice versa.

of course there is some overlap. and of course some north africans look more italian than some actual italians and vice versa. You could probably find a North African who looked more English than an actual Englishman if you looked long enough.

Having a look that is common or frequent among ethnic italians. Obviously this is highly vague/subjective. Because Italy is an extremely diverse place not only between North and South, but even within different regions, there are many different features and looks that can fall into this category.
And often times there is overlap with other regions, i.e. its possible for certain sicilians to look both Italian and Greek or Italian and NA
