His surname is of Greek origin.
So is the case for some 20% of Calabria and 10% of Sicily, it doesn't mean they are of Greek origin.

Well, he has a Calabrian surname of Greek origin with a typical Greek suffix. Of course, we can't know anything else.

He's from Sicily, but they look the same as Calabrese so there is no real difference.

No his surname is NOT Greek neither is he Calabrian...as if Calabrians are supposed to be Greeks
Most Calabrians cluster with Cypriots
S.Italy has been repopulated by Jews and Moors in Sicily and other levantine people in Calabria (Roman slave trade)
Greeks were slaughtered by Romans and went extinct already by 100 BC, in most parts of S.Italy.

Apulians are the ones most similar to Greeks. Did you not see the PCA plot from a study I posted today, where Greeks plot between Bulgaria and Sicily? There are, of course, more people who look Levantine in Calabria and Sicily, even in Campania, than in Greece.
Besides, southern Italians are not of Greek ancestry, or they'd score NE Euro/Baltic genes in some quantity and they score none. All Greeks have it.
See here, this is actual science:
