AFP - Rallies took place in several French cities on Saturday in support of Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani, an Iranian woman who faces being stoned to death after being convicted of adultery.

Around 300 people gathered for a rally in central Paris, including writer Marek Halter and film director Yamina Benguigui.

Benguigui said in a message to Mohammadi-Ashtiani that the demonstration was "to show you with love, determination and without reserve that we will never abandon you".

"Kumbayah" (Gullah (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gullah_language), "Come By Here" — "Kum ba yah") — is an African-American spiritual (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiritual_%28music%29) song from the 1930s. It enjoyed newfound popularity during the folk revival (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folk_revival) of the 1960s and became a standard campfire song in Scouting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scouting) and other nature-oriented organizations.
The song was originally associated with human and spiritual unity, closeness and compassion, and it still is, but more recently it is also cited or alluded to in satirical (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satire), sarcastic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm) or even cynical (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cynicism) ways that suggest blind or false moralizing, hypocrisy, or naively optimistic views of the world and human nature.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumbaya#cite_note-weiss-dallasnews-0)

French communists colluded with Iranian communists in precipitating the Iranian revolution.

The Islamic revolution was not their intended outcome, but it came as a result of their interference.

Now, they try to generate support from abroad. Please ignore.

'The French' supported these people against the 'British/US' and those on the receiving end where the Iranian secular nationalists and, in the end, the Iranian communists who were eaten by the Islamists.

I have no sympathy, and nor should you.
