I was thinking, we all know that some races and ethnicities have their own illnesses and risks. Some races are suspectible to diabetes and others have poor tolerance to milk products and so on.
Is it possible that we are differently genetically disposed for our optimum diet? That maybe a Nordic should eat different from a Med and different again from an Asian?
The so called Medi diet is very rich in carbs, yet they live to be quite old, while such a diet in Nordics makes people die of heart disease.
I am beginning to think that Nordics who have high Western Hunter Gatherer might be better off with a Low Carb High Fat diet, because this diet more closely fits the genetic marker of high WHG? While those living in Med and Near Asia, might be better suited for a typical grain based diet, because they for many more years were farmers?
Have such studies been done?
