Bedouins: Were/Are they Black?

I have seen some photos claiming the people in them are "Bedouin", and the people looked very dark, maybe even African per say. Then I saw other photos, in which the people looked very light. So, does anyone know what true Bedouins look/looked like, and where they possibly came from?

they are well known as sand n****s because they are in between, so they are brown.
