So I have a question for people who are good at genetics. I have fair share of knowledge, but I'm not too sure about this subject.
On Anthrogenica I said that Chechens and Iranians, Azeris, etc were related based on admixture, etc.
Then another user claimed that Chechens are genetically closer to French people than to Iranians based on "d-stats," and they looked a lot like admixture oracle population charts but were apparently based on different things. It was posted by a user named "Kurd" a lot.
A Chechen dude coined the term "Caucasian-Balkan" race and I was so confused.
But anyways, these d stats seemed odd because they placed Pashtuns genetically closer to Finns than to Pamiri Tajiks, NW S Asians, and Iranians. Yet it placed them closest to Kurds. However, on the other hand, Finns and Kurds weren't genetically closest to Pashtuns based on these.
They said that scientific studies use "d stats" amd never use admixture calculators, so that means d stats are correct.
Which one is morr accurate? D stats or gedmatch?
