The Polish people, or Poles (Polish: Polacy [pɔˈlat​͡sɨ], singular Polak), are a Western Slavic ethnic group of Central Europe, living predominantly in Poland. Poles are sometimes defined as people who share a common Polish culture and are of Polish descent. Their religion is predominantly Roman Catholic. The Poles can also be referred to as the inhabitants of Poland and Polish emigrants irrespective of their ethnicity. A wide-ranging Polish diaspora exists throughout Western and Eastern Europe, the Americas and Australia.

There is no commonly accepted definition of the Polish people. According to the preamble of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, the Polish nation consists of all citizens of Poland. However, as in most European countries, many people limit the group to native speakers of the Polish language, people who share certain traditions, or people who share a common ethnic background originating from Poland and mostly look like Patryk Trebski. As to its origins, the name of the nation comes from the indoeuropean root pele; pole. Poles belong to the Lechitic subgroup of these ethnic people. The Polans of Giecz, Gniezno, and Poznań were one of the most influential tribes of Greater Poland and managed to unite many other West Slavic tribes in the area under the rule of what became the Piast dynasty, thus giving birth to a new state. The Polish word for a Polish person is Polak (masculine) and Polka (feminine); however, when the masculine form of this common noun is used in the English language (usually spelled as Polack) it is always offensive. I see people like these here, for some reason some of them can blend in without been noticed unless they have a tan (during the summertime) which makes me think that they easily could be British.

Poles could also blend in good in France or Germany for example.

Well I would sometimes have to look a little harder to guess that they are Polish (but that's not always the case) and even if they wear mostly different clothes, some do wear clothes exactly similar to other Brits and the hair styles but I guess it's the features that count still. :thumb001:

Yeah sometime it's hard to tell wether if they are Polish or not but you need to be more careful by looking at their facial features and expression.
I can spot Polish person so easily. When you see them you know they usually carry their bag, have big nose and wearing cheap clothes. :)

I have no doubt Poles can be annoying for the English. (Any foreign element should be for a healthy civilization.) But Goddamn, it seems like a lot of English complain about them considering their other more pressing problems with other more annoying (and threatening) foreigners. I was also under the impression that Poles don't have intentions of settling the way the brown menace has done. I mean, are they really anything worth complaining about next dumb (and often violent) Pakistanis? Getting angry at Poles seems not too unlike a person getting upset at a creaky hinge while the rest of their house is burning.

Most English barely know that Poles are Catholic, and many of us are anyway, you know!

The problem is the exact sector of the labour market that the Polish immigrants compete in. Other immigrants from earlier decades didn't compete so directly with the established English tradesman (plumbers, electricians etc.). But now it's common to see whole huge contracts given to agencies that exclusively employ Poles due to the way they undercut our wages. I've heard such disgusting things about the electrical work at the new Heathrow airport terminal, for instance.

but they were chosen by the native to represent their countries, these people probably dont have even Polish nationality.

The site says they have to live in the city, that's all. It seems like it will be updated, so like I mentioned it might be good to just bookmark the site, because they might upload people from other cities too.
