There are differences in skull shape, occiput, some nose varieties, etc. Both are Aurignacids but neither derives from the other.

The Nordid type has a very long evolution. The base were the depigmented, robust North-Cromagnonids whos have gracilized under the thousand of years. In this way the Reihengräbertyp or Proto-Nordid has appeared what is was most common among the graves of the Völkerwanderung and among the nowadays German too. This type was gracilized by the several waves of Corded and Danube Mediterranids. A Nordid is always robuster and sharped faced than a Mediterranid.

This. And, yes - if not gracilized (Alpinid or other influence), Nordid/Corded is more robust than unmixed Mediterranids.

I do not buy that. If it was true than Iberians who are mostly med would cluster close with Scandinavians who are mostly nordic. That is not true.
