It seems on the new 23andme update they can split it the actual East Asian and Native American. I got under East Asian & Native American split score=
East Asian 1%
Chinese 1%
Japanese 0%
Korean 0%
Mongolian 0%
Yakut 0%
Native American 31%
Southeast Asian 3%

yeah brah, you got some chinito in you lol it most likely comes from your Guerrero side of the family since they seem to score the highest Asian ancestry compared to other Mexican
you should get that side tested, it would be interesting to see their haplogroups, but I say test them with AncestryDNA because they break down the African part

I went to a chinese buffet in San Ysidro, like 0.5 miles away from the border
the chinita there is mexican and spoke spanish, many of the chinese restaurants out there are own by Mexicans of Chinese heritage

the Chinese food in America is majority Americanized
the ones in Mexico are Mexicanized

but there are some authentic Chinese restaurants in both places

My dad had 23andme relative-finder matches from Peru, Cuba, Spain, and I believe also Puerto Rico.

My mom had one or two from Mexico.

And either my dad and/or my mom (I forget) had an Italian match(I have his AC), and also an Eastern European match of some type

I know I had a few Peruvian matches and I think a few Mexican ones as well..I also had a Cuban match on Ancestry.com (I have her pic, but no full AC)

I would think it's part of the Native American. But .8% does seem pretty high to be just spillover..Mongolian component can also be found in the Chinese as well though, so we can't completely rule out that possibility. I have a little collection of Native American results myself:

I remember seeing a 100% pure US Native American result, she was basically something like 15-20% East Asian (dont remember the exact percentage)
During that time I had no idea that many US Natives were mixed with Inuit which caused them to score high on the East Asian category
Many US Native Americans have more mongoloid shaped eyes compared to Mexicans and I guess its due to their Inuit component
the Mongolian in that Mexican is 0.8% which is very high and as you can see, the other mexican natives score 0.1 to none at all

Phenotypically that seems to be the case when compared to other Amerindian tribes further south.

Genetically they are. They are not really the same as other US natives to begin with. They are a more recent migration that went back to asia and back to the americas
