I completely missed that they also redid the haplogroup tests for all profiles that have transitioned to the new experience. Mine and my dad have remained the same. However, they changed my mom's from T2a to T2a1b. I probably also have the same mtDNA, but it doesn't show yet because I'm still on the V2 chip, so it shows T2a1 right now.

... and this is what it says on Wikipedia about the haplogroup.

Wilde et al. (2014) tested mtDNA samples from the Yamna culture (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamna_culture), the presumed homeland of Proto-Indo-European (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proto-Indo-European) speakers. They found T2a1b in the Middle Volga region (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volga_region) and Bulgaria (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulgaria)

Thanks, 23andme, for the free FTDNA mtDNA test. :D

Still waiting for the new experience. I hope they do the same with my mtDNA :))))

Waiting for the new 23andme update too, U.S customers already got the update.

Still waiting as well; it takes way too long imo.
