Very central Italian or possibly southern Italy in the mainland. Mostly med with a little alpine I think, but tough to really tell in all honesty. Very blended.

Actually let's make it blended gracile atlanto med, no alpine.
IMO he is alpinized dinaro-med.
Typical v-shaped profile, only alpinized. The med causes his skull to be longer.

Caruana is a Sicilian surname from Agrigento. It means someone from Kairouan in Tunisia.

Caruana nasce dalla cognominizzazione del termine dialettale siciliano “caruana” (o caruvana, carvana, caravana), che ha il significato di grande folla, moltitudine, codazzo, seguito. Potrebbe derivare, ma ci sembra improbabile, dal termine botanico “carvana” che significa “ricino”, pianta appartenente alla famiglia delle “euphorbiaceae”, da cui si ricava il noto olio di ricino.
