"The Bretons are an ethnic group located in the region of Brittany in France. They trace much of their heritage to groups of Brittonic speakers who emigrated from southwestern Great Britain including Cornwall to avoid the invading Germanic peoples. They also descend from the Gauls and in some parts from Vikings. They migrated in waves from the third to ninth century (most heavily from 450-600) into Armorica, which was subsequently named Brittany after them.

The main traditional language of Brittany is Breton (Brezhoneg), spoken in Lower Brittany (i.e. the western part of the peninsula). Today, Breton is spoken by less than 200,000 people."

I don't know...

You must ask the site administrator.

Besides, he have classify some these people as Atlanto-Med rather than Atlantid.

I live in Brittany, near the Morlaix country, and there are several people in these pictures that clearly atypical here.
Many of them are clearly not Breton, some are not even French.

You know nothing, any more than I, if these people are Bretons.

The Atlanto-Med kind seems quite established in Brittany; but I have the strong impression that when phenotypes do not stick to your Nordic models, you think that these people are not native of France or while are not Bretons...

Regarding the choice of images, I leave you the freedom to ask the site administrator (from which the pictures come from) if, actually, people in these images are really Bretons and where he found these images.

I wish you a good day.

I live in Brittany and after many travel throughout Brittany and cities of Brittany, I can say this much pictures do not match the Breton I see in everyday life.

Between a dubious site that do want to say that photos, poster by name Enflamme people who hate everything that is western European / North West Europe, and the opinion of a person living here, I prefer my felt.

Do these pictures really show purebred Bretons ?
Aren't the Bretons mainly of the alpinid type ?
