I'm curious to see how they ordinarily score on AncestryDNA in comparison to neighboring populations. I get 48% Europe East and 45% Italy/Greece, so I'm wondering if there is any hidden Eastern European in Albanians not found on 23andme.

I think the Greeks exhibited a lot of extra-European results on AncestryDNA tests like Caucasian and whatnot. This probably won't appear in Albanian results.

You've only seen islander results and people mixed with Pontian. I have yet to see a full mainlander but if evidence is any indication they should not have all of that.

Anyway I think if you saw Greek mainland and Albanian results, the majority of the score will go to "Italy/Greece" and then "Caucasus" and "Eastern Europe" in that order. Everything else should be negligible.

So, Eastern European is detected in Albanians and in large percentages too? Interesting. According to AncestryDNA, a typical Eastern European native score is up to 80% Europe East or more. I'm quite far off with only 48%. The Albanian result posted is even lower at 31% but still significant.

Ghegs might have some slavic dna, but i highly doubt tosks have.
Tosks usually cluster with tuscans.
