Pontid Mediterranid

What are the traits of this type? How/where did it originate? Where are its distributions?

This is the definition of the pontid race:

Pontid race - subrace in structure Caucasian race. The race is extended among the population of the Black Sea coast, namely: Adygs, Abkhazians, Georgians, southern Ukrainians, southern Russian, Moldavians, Romanians, and extends further west to the populations consisting of Poles, Slovakians, Czechs, Hungarians, and Southeastern-European Slavs.

Pontids have a direct nose, sometimes with the lowered tip, differs from more southern Caspian type in the raised percent of light eyes and hair.[1]

It is also defined as a cross between the baltid race and the mediterranid race. Therefore I post some pics of my idea of pontid:

Yeah, pretty similar. I have light skin, rounding face, same colors of her, small lips and streight nose. I thougut she was Bulgarian for the truth, but she could pass also for Italian... mmmm
Her look is not predominant in Italy, but there are people who look like her.

Anyway once I had been classified as a mediterranid with dinaric and alpine influxes and this is how I would have classified her too.

Northern Italy/Southern Germany are full of these, in central Italy there are also many.
Pontid is more eastern-looking.

I think "atlantids" are western mediterranids, while "pontids" eastern mediterranids.

The clear Pontids are with very light skin, I think. Eastern isn't always equal to dark. ;]

The picture you posted isn't fully Pontid because they both has a broad round face and short nose. Real Pontid has a long narrow face and long narrow nose.

Pontids have, in comparison to Atlantomediterranid, more often:
- a relatively higher head
- broader jaws relative to the facial breadth
- more gracile build individuals, especially females
- more often stronger body hair and beards, especially in the South East of Europe
- a stronger Neolithic and South Eastern/Eastern genetic profile

As far as i've seen, Pontid are really an eastern version of Atlantid but Pontid has more Higher forehead and broad cheek than your average Atlantid.

They are not slavic pontid but hungarians from a book Föld Népei Európa by Kiszely István. I see a little turanian influence too.
