IMO -isms are usually dogmatic beliefs that oft include supernatural propositions I can't really dig into. This includes of course feminism. I think however everyone is losing their minds about feminism when it really isn't that big of a deal. In my day to day interactions with women of all kind I have only on occasion met with one that drank the cool-aid of the "social-sciences laboratories" of liberal colleges, and most were unaware of all of the "buzzwords" and "redefinitions" of terms they come up with between latte sips.

Most women are OK. A lot of them are nasty. That's the same thing I can say about men. No suprise since we are the same species. Is there dimorfism? you bet! but there's also a lot of overlap. We all want the same. Chillax people.

And yes Western Legislation is often biased towards women, but as a man, I do find that acceptable because I do not believe in equality in the same way some "-isms" do. My take on equality is that of equal dignity as humans and equal right to freedom. Women birth children most of the times. It has always been in the interest of our species to protect those capable to birth a new generation. Natural selection is biased in favour of men in many aspects and it is natural that groups of women lobby in supercomplex societies and use societie's bias towards women to balance out some of those biological differences as well as to cope better with being surrounded with men that have zero chance of reproducing and some of whom will be a real physical danger.

Now, I don't see fault in that. Is it perhaps a fault of men not to group up and lobby for their own physiological shortcomings and their own frustrations as individuals and as a gener within western societyy? Perhaps, I am conflicted about this. It is true men do suffer as much as women and there are not any mechanisms to protect men specifically... but we are much better prepared to cope with all of this having a much more stable set of hormones as well as a (generall) more analytical and goal-oriented brains.

Yet it is not honest to say contemporary feminism is any worse than the previous generations'... it just deals with a different society. All in all, it is just a collection of groups with different goals loosely associated under the umbrella term (feminism) and which are basically (western) woman-centric lobby groups to advance women's advantages where possible and also correct any disadvantages that may still exist.
