It's hard to tell because I have a double crown. Seems too go clockwise and anti-clockwise, a bit messy and annoying.

Tip: try to feel where the crown is, and try to determine the spiraling direction of growth using your fingers.

Does it go against the grain to twiddle your finger clockwise? Your hair probably grows counter-clockwise.

Not only does mine go both anti-clockwise & clockwise. It's more than slightly to the right.

Do you have one on each side, or two to one side?


The only way to flatten it would be to flatten it down in the direction it grows in, leaving you with two alien crop circles and a ridge where they intersect, like on a guinea-pig with rosettes, which there is no possible hope of flattening. ;)
