Pojmenování Češi má dva významy:

V angličtině nebo v češtině to je jasnější, tam je rozdíl mezi Bohemian / Böhme a Czech /Tscheche, čeština má bohužel pro oba pojmy stejný výraz - Čech.

Well, a lot of Czechs have lastnames like Němec (German) Polák (Pole), Slovák, etc., and we can say that they are "pure Czechs". But their ancetors (in 1600s or sooner) received the lastname because they were of non-Czech origin.

Je mi vcelku jedno, jakou národnost jiní lidé vyplňují do formulářů při sčítání lidu, já tam píšu českou a nemyslím si že bych byl proto méně Moravanem, než jiní.
Ostatně si myslím, že běžný Bavorák tam do stejné kolonky píše německá a Tyrolák rakouská.
Svůj předchozí příspěvek o písních a krojích jsem teď (po zvážení všech argumentů) trochu upravil.

Magnolia, correct the term in the first serie for "Bohemians", please, because Czechs are all the students, regardless which part of the country came from.
For example as "Austrians" we can lable also people fromT irolia, Styria and Carinthia, etc., not just the peole from Upper- and Lower Austria.

I just returned from another lovely trip in the Czech Republic, having visited friends in Mikulov and Brno. This must have been the 10+ trip to this beautiful country. My first contact to the Czech people was in 1991 in the tender age of 18. The beauty of the women still leaves me speechless and amazes me to a degree that I get depressed over so much perfection.
What I do not understand is the discrepancy between males and females. You barely see obese women under 40, you can not say the same about men. Women have elegant fascial features while you can see the peasant in most of the males. I can not think of any luckier bastards that the Czechs, getting a beautiful woman is so easy, like fishing in a barrel full with fish.
That said I have a question: Is Krasny žena Czech and Pekny žena Slovak?

Both adjectives are used in both, Czech ans Slovak languages, with small spelling differences.
Anyway, both towns Mikulov and Brno, are located at Moravia :)

The furthest back that I have traced my straight male paternal line back to is my GGGGGGGGG-grandfather Johan Heinrich Boehm who was born in a village called Schneeberg on the Saxon side of the Saxony/Bohemia border in 1640. A lot Czechs refugees moved into Saxony after Bela Hora during the 30 years war. My Y chromosome is R1A L1029

But you can also say that Bavarian is different that Brandenburg. Yes they are different, but both are Germans, politically and in the most cases also ethnically.

I did probably pass them both in my trek to here, so I have to and must agree :)
