New updated Y-DNA maps on Eupedia. While many areas in the maps continue being based only on history (aka BS) and not on actual genetic evidence, some updates have been made based on new French data from Lucotte 2015 and Spanish data from Valverdre 2016.

R1b-S21 (U106): The main changes are higher S21 in the northern coast of France, in Lorraine, Alsace and northwest Switzerland, higher in northern Portugal and some new found enclaves around Madrid, Seville and Alicante.

R1b-L21: The new data allowed to add L21 in Corsica, Sardinia and around Rome, and to increase it in north-western France and around Paris. I have also revised down the frequencies in England, Lowland Scotland, Leinster and Ulster.

R1b-DF27: The previous map involved a lot of guesswork based on R1b-S116 subclades that excluded L21, U106 and U152, and limited data on M153 and SRY2627. Now the situation is clearer, especially in Spain.

R1b-S28 (U152):The biggest changes are the higher levels in Galicia, Portugal, Andalusia and along the Mediterranean coast of France. This haplogroup looks increasingly associated with the Romans rather than the Celts/Gauls. I think it's not an either/or question. It is almost certain that Hallstatt and La Tène Celts carried U152, and so did the Romans and all Italic tribes. But the high incidence of U152 in southern France, eastern and southern Iberia can only be explained by the Roman colonisation.

It was updated on 29 September 2016 based on new studies from the end of 2015 and early 2016. I know some of it is only based on history (aka wrong) as I said before, but the new parts added are certainly real as they're based on actual studies :thumb001:

good if theres an update and if this is a correct update. :) i just checked first and last image and i saw that, there is no single change with them compared to maps like 7+ years ago (same lines, colors, densities, every thing same) maybe i should check them again or maybe the updated ones are only the second and third images.
