They might have been mixed with Iranian people, because they stayed there for quite a while before invading Anatolia. Probably Turanic/Iranian mix.

There is no fully asian Turkic population. Not even the Yakuts from Northeast Asia are fully Asian, unlike their non-Turkic Siberian neighbours.

The Oghuz Turks who migrated to Anatolia between the 11th and 14th centuries were one of the westernmost Turkic tribes and were most likely similar to modern Turkmens and Uzbeks (Central Asians with 25-40% East Eurasian admixture), judging by the results of yörüks (nomadic Turks). See this thread --> http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?193000-Where-do-these-Aegean-Y%F6r%FCks-pass-best

This is the autosomal dna result of a yörük from Antalya. Yörüks (nomadic Turks) tend to have more Central Asian admixture than average and are closer to Seljuk-period Turks.

They were fully alien.
