In November, Estonia will send 15 soldiers to Somali waters to support the fight against pirates.
On Wednesday, Parliament discussed a bill by which the Estonian navy would join the EU and NATO on the high seas in an anti-piracy operation until the end of next year, reported ERR television.
The bill, written up by the Defence Forces, sees that the navy team would board threatened cargo ships for a few days at a time.

15 soldiers may sound meaningless, but you have to consider the fact that Estonia is a very small country.
Example: If you divide the amount of soldiers with the amount of people in the country, then Denmark(by percentage) has had the biggest losses in Afghanistan. Estonia comes 2nd after Denmark, for having the biggest losses, when considering the fallen soldiers and population ratio. Estonian soldiers are stationed in the most dangerous region of Afghanistan.
