I think grizzlies/brown bears are the coolest but they're also the most intimidating and scary. I dont know why but polar and black bears do not induce the same kind of fear. Maybe it's just plain statistics as well, brown bears are known to be the most aggressive and likely to kill humans.

I get in anger when I see the serie "Alaska: last frontier" and they dedícate to hunt bears (2 species including black bears). Come on, these magnificent creatures don´t deserve to die just because you want to protect some ugly cows. You have invaded their territory. Even they hunt it as some traidition to become men. What is the merit in using a rifle? Nothing. 99% of the countries in the worl would pay millions to have bears in reserves or natural parks, and these people hunt them just because they eat some ugly cows.
