This is a typical American university dorm room. The cafeteria is located in the same building, but classrooms usually are not. I'm curious how this compares to other universities around the world? Are there dorms in your country? Are living accomodations free or do students pay fees like in USA? Or, do most students live at home with their parents?

Greek universities are public, free of tuitions and so are the dorms. But in order to be elligible for dorm accomodation you need to come from a low financial background, i don't remember what's the annual income they demand from the students,in order to be considered. The majority of the students rent their own apartments, mostly studios or one bedroom apartment, others rent with a roomie or will continue to live with their family,if the faculty is in their hometown.
