I honestly expected more West Asian/North African, but otherwise pretty much what I thought I'd get.
Also, could anyone explain to me why I'm clustering closer to West Asians/North Africans if I have significantly more European ancestry?

Hm, interesting.
Question, why do you have a fair amount of MENA? I took this test, and I have quite a bit of Spanish Ancestry as well, and I didn't score any MENA.

I can only assume it's from my Canarian ancestry. I don't believe Canarians immigrated to Mexico as much as they did to the Spanish West Indies, so that might explain it.

Ah, I see. That makes sense. I think Mexico received Andalusians, Extremadurans, and other Northern Spaniards.

Cuba received mostly Galicians, Canarians, and Catalans, I believe.
