While I'm not particularly enthusiastic about his early music, some of his later work is absolutely magnificent, imo.

Paert is brilliant. I usually find "minimalist" music to be rather bland but Paert does it very well, perhaps because his work is more unconvential and has a genuine spiritual/religious dimension to it.

I've only recently begun discovering classical music in earnest, but I seem to prefer either very rich, luscious Baroque music, or severe minimalism. :shrug:

But you are absolutely right that Pärt's music is deeply spiritual, even meditative.
