My first post here at Apricity ;)

Like you guys, I'm also into racial/physical anthropology.

Could you please set the ball rolling by classifying my ethnic type?
I would be grateful if you could define your reason(s).

Kindest regards.

Introductions are nice (http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=117).

Posting your thread in the correct section is nice too (http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84).

And, posting suitable pictures is even nicer yet (http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1392).

It seems rather that he is an Aplinized Iranid with Turanid influences it looks like you are Western Turkish, Caucasian, or Kurdish.

I agree with Geistfaust about his classification, except the Turanid. Furthermore Iranid traits, as seen in Kurds are more common in the east, not in western Turkey. So one canīt look kurdish and western turkish at the same time, as that would be contradicting I suppose. ;)

Well I said he has some Turanid influences mainly in the eye area and nose area other than that he seems to be more Cappadocian, Caucasian, or Iranian even.

hmm.. I think he has just deep-set eyes and is squinting. Regarding his nose, how does a Turanid nose looks like? I really donīt know.

A turanid nose usually is high rooted is a bit convex and dinaroform and has a tendency towards being concave but very rarely so it sometimes looks flatterer from a frontal view.

You look Middle Eastern; Iranid + East Alpinid or something like that, by the way your face seems familiar, are you sure you haven't post here before?

He frequents the boards at biodiversityanthropology and does quite well with the anthropological discussions over there.

He wouldn't stand out in Southern Europe.

Why is there need to bump such an old thread? His appearance was discussed in a thread with shitloads of pages in the past.

Here you go, have fun: http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22527

Now don't start the same discussion again please...

Thanks for all your responses.

Just a quick question: is a gracilised Iranid essentially just another terminology for a Dinaricised Mediterranean/Anatolid?

I would also like to get Agrippa's thoughts on this...

Regards.
