Some depigmented Sardinians

I mention in passing that I voluntarily chose the images.

There will be in the lot : old, children, adult and young peuple.

I do not name these people "Nordic", they remain Mediterranean and we must be proud of this, those are depigmented types.

These faces are present in some provinces. When I talk about "depigmented types" I also talk about facial features (sometimes more "Western Europe" or depigmented Western-Med) and pigmentation.

Pictures can have several different sources, so if you see a change in the kind of photo (a pro photo, then a photo facebook) this is normal!

Absolutely not: the Sardinians are not Iberians, they have characteristics quite special for some, much more archaic (even depigmented) and genetically they have no relation with the Iberians.

I hate people who want to usurp the identities of others: you are Iberians and they are Sardinians, we must stop there and not begin to want to "iberanize" the Sardinians because it is an insult to their identity.

I didn't say they were Iberians. I just said that most of them would pass, which makes sense, due to their geographic proximity.

And I know that Sardinians are their own people. I don't try to "usurp" the identity of anybody.

I couldn't identify this traditional dress, it's clearly not Sardinian, I think that it's a Catalan traditional dress from Alghero, the "Catalan" city in north-west Sardinia, or perhaps is from some foreign folk group who took part to the parade

This thread is also for people who think that there is a pre-defined Sardinian phenotype, in fact there is none: there is no facial homogeneity among the people of Sardinia.

What I noticed is that, depending on the province, the phenotype changes.

Just as there is no genetic homogeneity, a Sardinian, on a Sardinian forum, said:

This bullshit that you can read in some antro forums contradicts completely researches realised by true genetists who published their surveys in well known magazine such as Science and Nature. Genetic isolation is not a synonymous of homogeneity.

According to recent studies was discovered that two specimen from Sardinia show a higher genetic difference than two specimen from two european countries of Europe (example: a portuguese is closer genetically to a romanian, than a sardinian from Gallura to a sardinian for Ogliastra, because the communities which live in Sardinia, developed themselves in the previous centuries with a higher level of inner isolation)"
