There is a specific cultural zone in Poland, which can be called the "Santa-Free" zone.
It runs from the mountains, all the way to the Baltic Sea. I live inside this "belt" too:

These who have Gwiazdor must be of Wielkopolish descent, or local autochthons. But not Kresowiaks.
You prefere Dziada?
the hell, no! Ded Moroz is a Russian achievement: http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?199231-Merry-(Western)-Christmas-from-Siberia-(where-Santa-is-not-always-red!)

There are some, because eastern part of Lubuskie was actually ethnically Polish. For example Leon Pinecki was born in Stołuń near Międzyrzecz (it is in Lubuskie, but ethnically part of Wielkopolska).

So this famous german wannabeness of Poles is true... :icon_rolleyes:
Więc, dziś prawdziwych Polaków już nie ma...
As it would Danuta Rinn sing:
Gdzie ci Polacy, prawdziwi taacyy... Pyry, kartofle, ziemniacy...
Skrzetuski się tam pod podłogą przewraca pewnie...
My friend, you are probably the only wannabe German here!
Everyone in their right mind knows that Prussians = Slavs in Disguise.
"Scratch a Prussian and you will find a Balto-Slav" as they say.
"I still vividly remember the day one of my schoolmates told me: we Rhinelanders are the true Germans. The Prussians are Obotrites, Wends, Slavs and the like who put together their state by theft and violence." - Konrad Adenauer.

Marusya,
But nowadays Gwiazdor usually looks just like Santa Claus. He has become modernized. :p
That's why when you google him in Google Images, you will get images similar to Santa:

Why they do not sing in sorbian?
watch these yt channels if you want to hear germanised slavic Sorbian (not Serbian) language:

I remember being dumbfounded when I learnt that a couple of my classmates believed that this is some ''Gwiazdor'', ''Gwiazdka'', or ''Aniołek'' that brings them Christmas gifts. :D

Dziadek Mróz / Ded Moroz is also popular among some Orthodox Christians of Poland. He does not differ though ... visually speaking from Santa Claus / Święty Mikołaj. He has its own stories and a distinct origin though.
