Probably pulled it out of his ass. I can't find much about her family history and neither care enough about it. :p I did read that Jacotey isn't a common French name, apparently, but if you go back in time there aren't any registered Jacoteys on Corsica.

Offtopic: Good website. My surname was concentrated in Nord-Pas-de-Calais (French Flanders) in the early 20th century. However, as time progresses they all moved to other French regions and none are left in the Nord.

I have a weird name for a French person though. Not exactly a ring to it. :p Even if I have a common name where I live, I guess it would be wise not to share that information here.
