Hyderabad, along with Bangalore and Chennai have been known as one of the major IT centers in India for a while now. I don't think this is new.

you're right . But "Cyberabad" is a section of Hydrabad that was recently designed (late 90s) to accommodate the IT workers and companies. Unlike other major cities in India, Cyberabad does not face Urban planning issues. I imagine, the place is probably less polluted/ populated in comparison. Let me try to find other city pictures.

It's a terrible name and doesn't reflect quality product. A rebranding may be required.

I agree. I read that its also known as "Hitech city"... which again does make it sound like a city from a cartoon show. Maybe they just wanted to go with a name without any social/cultural/religious baggage.
