One thing why I dont take pride in being Romani is because of their lack of a middle class and many characteristics of a "real nation" starting from a own country to a own cuisine and restaurants etc. own sports clubs which represent them in world championships or sports people who represent them at olympic games, or other important represantations etc. But now I found a site with a "romani cookbook" and a few restaurants listed in europe, which sell romani food, That made me proud and I want to share.

This is a fake cookbook. THe real gypsy cookbook must be started from words "let you steal a pot and pan".

Though they did in other fields.
In music Roma have a very strong tradition.
They were also traditionaly known for being horse traders and used to own horses themselfes.
Finally they were known for their skills in handwork.
For example alot of smiths came from Roma families.

Anyway didn't knew there was a traditional Roma cuisine.
I thought they would rather adopt the local cuisine of the country they live in and maybe
add some extra flavors and spices of their preference and taste.

However interesting and original thread therefore thumbs up

Reminds me of that space alien cookbook called TO SERVE MAN in an old Twilight Zone episode, which earthlings originally thought was an alien guidebook to benefit humanity. Oops I’ve spoiled the show for those unyet acquainted.
