I have been wondering lately, what genetics say about Jews. Is it true that they are so distinct from Europeans and trace their ancestry to Middle Eastern peoples? Or being Jew is only a cultural and religious factors and Jews are very diverse and mixed with Europeans? After some research, I found quite contradicting results.
1) An article on www.nature.com suggests that Jews are very closely related to themselves and stand in contrast to most of Europeans. You can read this article here:

2) Another article, this time on nordicist site "Refuting Racial Myths". It does not matter, what one thinks about nordicism, there's a bibliography added on this site so everything can be verified. This article asserts the same thing as the first one: Jews are close to themselves and stand in sharp contrast with most of Europeans. Link:

3) Another opinion for Jewish racial/genetical uniformity is that of David Duke which he expressed in one of his videos. To support his claim, he quotes some research that tries to prove that Russians are closer to Germans than to Russian Jews and that Jews have Middle Eastern genes, are quite uniform. 4) On the other hand there was a thread on The Apricity which showed studies that prove otherwise: that Jews are very diverse and it's more of a religion/culture than race/closely related population. Here's the link to the thread:

Now I have a question: does anyone have some credible data about this? Is it now known if Jews are uniform genetically or distinct? Do we have a final result of all these studies?
