Honestly I have seen very skinny lanky dudes with hot girlfriends. But they were that kind of self-destructive, artsy, don't give a shit about anything in life kind. Covered in tats, doing a lot of hard drugs, often musicians. Some women actually go for guys who seem like their lives have fallen apart and they don't care, or who exude a slightly insane vibe. I performed hypertrophy training in my twenties to the point of entering competition as an intermediate body sculptor (builder). Due to a serious back injury I sustained in a factory related incident, I could not pursue this particular goal any further. But after gradually healing, in my late thirties I got into power lifting. Then another health crisis interrupted my training routine.
