This year, TATRA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatra_(company)) automobile company at Kopřivnice (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kop%C5%99ivnice), Moravia, will celebrate an important anniversary - 120 years of manufacturing vehicles with combustion engines.
The first automoblie was made here in 1897, it was de facto a coach with engine, and its name was Präsident (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pr%C3%A4sident).
It was the very first automobile made in the Czech area and even very first automobile made at Austro-Hungarian Empire, where Moravia blenonged in that times.

Bratře Lechu:
It is named after Tatra Mountain (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatra_Mountains)s, actually - but it refers about the Slovakian part of it.
It is because that in 1920s was tested a new model in extreme enviromental conditions at Tatra Mountains, Slovakia.

The Czech automotive industry used to be incredibly original and creative.

Still in the 50's-60's, despite the ineptness of the Communist regime, Tatra used to build very interesting motor-cars.
Mechanical quality wasn't top notch, but in terms of design and cosmetics they were just stunning :

It is also good to mention model Tatra 77 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatra_77) the first serial-produced, truly aerodynamically-designed automobile (1934)

Yep. Czech designers were definitely one generation ahead of their time.

Maybe you don't know, in the late 50's Czechia also made Europe's most advanced electric guitars, second only to American models.
George Harrison of The Beatles started his carreer with a Czech-made Jolana like this one, that was far better than anything manufactured in Western Europe at that time:

Tatra are polish mountains. Until late XIII century whole area was
polish, until Hungolians took it during petty principalities epoche.
And the main part is still ours. And the Slovaks - according to TA's
Hungolians - are recent polish migrants :)

If you will repeat it at village pub at Slovakia at Saturday night, I can say that you are a really brave man! :)

Pretty sure the first automobile in the Czech Republic was built by a Albanian.

We even understand each other, and people from eastern
Slovakia, speak almost pure polish... They must be Poles.
The Hungolians wrongly indoctrinated them through this
900 years of occupation, as Nazis tried to do with Gorals... :pout:

Using your logic, I can say that you are not a Pole but Slovak in denial :D
