No, this is not what was said. Try to follow along now:

Calabria/Messina have both Greek input and Near Eastern, so they are genetically not going to plot near mainland Greeks today.

Kythera has some Phoenician input, which makes them similar to other islands that also have extra Near Eastern, rather than to the mainland.
