A very interesting affair is happening... the Dutch and Turks have gone all-out in verbal war. Neither will back down, for the following reason:
- For Mark Rutte, it is very important to show he is very strong with foreign affairs. In fact if he gave in to Erdogan in some way, it will cost him many votes to Wilders. So, for the Dutch being seen as the victor in this disagreement, is vital to the election victory.
- For Erdogan, it would be very humiliating to be seen as being bossed around by the Dutch. A matter of pride, especially domestically in Turkey.
So... who will give?!
